Go Kings…..

The Kings are on top of the world.  9-3 so far and with the most points in the NHL.   Such a joy to watch this team.    I reminded my ticket rep from the Kings about the bad times and we both chuckle about some of the low points.

The identifiable low point would be the suicide Kings Talk following one of the home games.  I call it the suicide KT because it seemed that everyone who called was depressed and would probably take their comments off the air so they could kill themselves.  Now, Kings Talk is full of joy and nit picking on the Kings.

GO Kings

Not sure how this happened but 6 games have passed and the Kings are 4-2.  This is a good start for the Kings in the quest for the Cup.  Everyone looks great but Drew D. is now injured.  Shoot.  This will be interesting.

Loss to CBJ

Another game, another loss. The strange thing about this road trip is a win tomorrow at Dallas and the Kings have a 3-3 road trip. At the beginning, this would have been considered pretty good. After the first two wins, people became to optimistic.

Tonight, the Rags

The Kings are going to faceoff against the NY Rangers. Since both teams are riding win streaks (4 and 5 game), this should be a good test of the Kings mettle. I predict a 3-2 SO win for the Kings.

Playoffs

The have been intersting so far.  Sharks gone.   All series tied at 2-2 in the second round except Boston and Carolina with Carolina ahead 3-1.  The Redwings looked good last night.  Let’s hope the can eliminate the Ducks.

Oilers Eliminated by Kings

Kings 2-1 and eliminated the Oilers from the playoffs.  Even if the Kings aren’t going to make it, at least it was nice to eliminate an old rival from the playoffs.  The Oilers announcers were saying how the Kings, leading 2-1 going into the third, would be pooped out from playing the night before and that the Oilers would domindate the third and win.   Haha.  The Oilers did control 3/4 of the period but still couldn’t score.

It's Official

The Kings have been official eliminated from the playoffs.   It happened last night with a loss in Phoenix.   Strange thing is that the Kings were nibbling around the playoffs all year yet still have a shot at a top 5 pick.   How do you do that?

200 Post and Last Day of Feb

….and the Kings are still in the hunt.  I don’t hold out much hope but it is nice to have to scoreboard watch and fifure out who to root for and who to root against.  In fact, I rooted for the Ducks today to win in regulation since they were playing Dallas and we have 3 in hand against the Ducks.  Strange how things work out.

For some reason, on letsgokings.com, when the Kings win 4 in a row, it is peanut butter and jelly time.   Kings beat the Isles for the fourth and try for five tomorrow agains the Flames.  Nice.  This is becoming a good season to watch.

Kings Win

For only the fourth time this year, the Capitals lost at home to the Kings, 5-4.   This puts the Kings 3 points out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.    This is the first time in 3 years that the Kings at 21-20-7 have a winning record in February.   Wow!

To make my day complete, the Ducks lost, still have 55 points, are only 8 points ahead of the Kings and the Kings have 5 games in hand.
