June already. The Kings and Ducks out of the playoffs. NHL season is almost over. Where did the time go?

Kings Looking Good, Ducks not so good

The Kings beat Dallas on a thrilling goal with 20 seconds left but the Ducks were beat by the ‘Yotes soundly. The Kings look like they need 3 or 4 more wins and then can be pretty assured of a playoff spot short of a collapse.

Both Teams in Playoffs?

It is looking like both teams may finish in a playoff spot. The Kings definitely improved at the deadline with acquisition of Penner. The Ducks moves are harder to figure out except picking up Ellis. That should help since Hiller is out.

It would epic if the Ducks and Kings met in the conference finals.

Both the Kings and the Ducks have come close to catching the Caps. I gave hell to my friend Dave about this. I don’t think he is happy.

Have I become a Ducks fan, too? I’m watching more and more games this year and I’m beginning to like the Ducks. Definitely not replacing the Kings but I’m probably going to root for them come playoff time.

So far, the Kings are hanging around the playoff picture as expected. A hot start followed by a cold streak back to hot. Should be an interesting season……

The Kings are on top of the world. 9-3 so far and with the most points in the NHL. Such a joy to watch this team. I reminded my ticket rep from the Kings about the bad times and we both chuckle about some of the low points.

The identifiable low point would be the suicide Kings Talk following one of the home games. I call it the suicide KT because it seemed that everyone who called was depressed and would probably take their comments off the air so they could kill themselves. Now, Kings Talk is full of joy and nit picking on the Kings.

Not sure how this happened but 6 games have passed and the Kings are 4-2. This is a good start for the Kings in the quest for the Cup. Everyone looks great but Drew D. is now injured. Shoot. This will be interesting.

First Game of 2010-2011

Yeah. We went to our first preseason game last night. Colin went and he behaved and seemed to have an ok time. The Kings lost 3-1 but who cares, it is preseason. The first game that feels real is the game in Las Vegas for Frozen Fury.
